![]() ![]() With Astral Presence this fills up your Arcane Energy to 140 in about 4 shots.Ĭomet: very nice damage, I choose this over Arcane Orb (very powerful) because I can drop it in the middle of a group, while Arcane Orb damage can be very significantly reduced by one or two monsters running in front of a group.įrost Nova: 3 second stun on a 9 seconds cooldown, I feel like I am super weak without this. ![]() It always goes through your target and you hit a lot. ![]() Piercing Orb: this does the most damage of all signature spells but still allows me a save distance. Very interesting builds, mostly because I found the skills being used very bad when I tried them myself. ![]() That's one of the primary reasons I opt for a passive damage increase when doing regular clears, which I switch for Mirror Image (Simalcrum) when I do tough bosses or packs. Sure, I hit hard and gain some passive damage mitigation, but I lose ALL of my crowd control and emergency cooldowns. You may find my last two skill choices strange, and that's the basis of my question here - would I really get a DPS increase by changing them? For instance, would it be worth switching out one of the passive buffs for a Frost Hydra? Dropping Force Weapon, for instance, makes me lose almost 1000dps - but would it be worth it? I have no idea how to even compare the two.Īnd also - thoughts on Archon? I have been very underwhelmed with the skills on Nightmare and Hell. This is the build I'm using right now: !WYX!YZcbZa I'm interested to hear other's thoughts on how they choose their Wizard skills or what tools, if they, they use to theorycraft damage.
